About County Bank

County Bank first opened its doors during the winter of 1977 in Merced, California. Residents of Merced still remember the first County Bank branch, a modest trailer where County Bankers happily served the community’s banking needs. Today, County Bank still serves the same Merced residents as well as residents throughout California. Now 39 branches strong, County Bank’s growth is a testament to how a locally owned and operated financial institution can successfully meet the needs of an entire community.

How We’re Different

Excellent service marks the cornerstone of our company. Our team members understand the community’s unique financial needs better than any other banker and respond with local decision making power.

Our County Bankers take the time necessary to understand each customer’s needs and find the right product to satisfy those needs. Once we gain a customer’s trust, we keep it. It’s not uncommon for a customer to walk into a County Bank branch and hear a branch manager greet them by name, because our customers are not treated as account numbers - They’re our families, friends, neighbors…our customers are also our guests.

The founding principal of individualized service to our customers has never been compromised.

Our Core Values

The single most important core value to County Bank and its subsidiaries is an unfailing respect for the dignity of every person . . . whether a customer, shareholder, or Team Member.

We believe that integrity and ethics are our most important assets and are never to be compromised. Our customers expect and deserve professionalism in dealing with their financial affairs and the assurance that all information is easily understood and kept in strictest confidence.

We value the peer relationships that we establish at work and understand that no team member alone can effectively deliver any banking product or service. We must work together assisting and encouraging each other at all times in order for our Company to remain strong and successful.

We value our relationship with the communities in which we serve and live and we pledge our time and resources to actively support worthwhile programs, charities and organizations that contribute to the common good of our communities.

We value progress and recognize that this comes in many forms, whether it be economic, technological or social. Adaptability, flexibility and vision are the means that will allow us to better serve our customers, our communities and each other.

We know that these values can only be effective when adopted and integrated into every job, task and conversation undertaken by each Team Member.
